The Chilli FM mobile app for Android and iOS was developed and is published by Hot Pepper Media, S.L. (“we,” “our,” or “us”). Chilli FM, the internet radio service the app streams, is owned by Chilli FM. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the app. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.
We do not collect personally identifiable information directly, and no user accounts or registration of any kind are required to use the app.
We generate a random, anonymous device identifier used only to count your song votes (sent when you tap the heart) so the Top 10 chart can be built and to prevent double-voting. It is never linked to your identity, and we do not track what you listen to.
With your consent, we collect anonymous usage statistics (such as app sessions, device type, and country) and anonymous crash reports to help us improve the app. You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings.
If an error occurs in the app, we (through third-party tools) may collect log data such as your device’s IP address, device name, operating-system version, app configuration, the time and date of the error, and other technical details. This is used only to diagnose problems and improve performance.
Your device connects directly to our streaming server to receive the live broadcast. Song and artist information shown in the app comes from the radio stream itself. Our streaming server logs standard connection metadata (IP address, timestamp) as is normal for internet radio. Album artwork is fetched from the iTunes Search API (Apple Inc.) using only the song title and artist, no personal data is included in this request.
We do not request microphone access.
The app itself does not use cookies. Some third-party services listed below may use cookies or similar technologies, which you can manage through your device settings.
The app uses the following third-party services:
Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy.
The app may contain links to external websites that we do not operate. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those third-party sites.
This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and will promptly delete any such data if it comes to our attention. Parents or guardians can contact us to request deletion.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page, with a revised “Last Updated” date.
